Just in case you have not seen this, I think Stephen Fry puts it quite well!

From Irish RTE TV channel program called The Meaning of Life.

Fry was being interviewed for the Irish television show when he launched into an impassioned tirade about God’s existence.

Theresa May’s extremism strategy …

Please click to express yourself
In February 2015, Home Secretary Theresa May said ‘ …authorities need to look at the ideology which drives young people to travel abroad and join extremist groups.’

This was in the light of her studied shocked reaction to the fact that three intelligent, apparently well educated, schoolgirls were off to Syria to join Isis as jihadi wives.

'How was school, dear?'
‘How was school, dear?’

Ms May said it was important to look not just at terrorism but ‘extremism across the whole spectrum’.

Did she define which “authorities” should undertake the task? No.

Did she define extremism? No.

Did she define the timescale? No.

Did she define the parameters for such an investigation? No.

So there we are; the usual display of meaningless poppycock presented as “policy” from a government minister.

Here is the answer for Ms May, and all those who still cannot understand the reason for the girls’ travel plans.

This, first suggested some 1,600 years ago by Hypatia of Alexandria (an enlightened teacher of mathematics and philosophy), a few years before she was burned to death by peace loving Christians.

“Fables should be taught as fables, myths as myths, and miracles as poetic fancies. To teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing. The child mind accepts and believes them, and only through great pain and perhaps tragedy can he be in after years relieved of them. In fact, men will fight for a superstition quite as quickly as for a living truth — often more so, since a superstition is so intangible you cannot get at it to refute it, but truth is a point of view, and so is changeable.”

“Life is an unfoldment, and the further we travel the more truth we can comprehend. To understand the things that are at our door is the best preparation for understanding those that lie beyond.”

“All formal dogmatic religions are fallacious and must never be accepted by self-respecting persons as final.”

“Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all.”

Why read all those other books when this one has all the answers?

In other words, as long as government treats religious faith as a valid subject for educating young minds, the problem will persist.

This wilfull blindness is dangerous for the nation’s children and for our future peace, but it doesn’t upset too many voters – yet.

Can you begin to see faith schools are dangerous and outdated?

Can you see that the treatment of religion as serious subject for young minds is deeply flawed? Once the seeds of ‘faith being a good thing’ are sewn in a young mind, all else follows. Then it is so much easier to present god as an irrefutable fact from which all else follows.

  • Faith seems to be revered as a worthy mental state when it should be seen for what it is, simply a vain hope based on myth or perhaps a comfort blanket for some.
  •  Are our party politishituns ready to recognise that?
  •  Are you?

Bah, Poo & Piffle …

My long awaited book, “The Normal Curve” has a new name “Bah, Poo & Piffle”. It sums up, in an entirely legal way, my feelings and views on politics, politicians, journalists and the whole 24/7 piffle factory which forms most of the news verbiage today. The book argues that party politics is outdated and explains exactly why politicians are rubbish at decision making. It also makes a few suggestions as to what we should do about the whole system of government from which we currently suffer.

I needed to get the title out in the world before Boris hijacks it, hence the advance notice, the world (and Boris) has been warned!

Sadly, I missed my targeted November 2014 publishing date and therefore the January 2015 Political Book Awards. The insatiable market for political reading fodder leading up to the May 2015 election will just have to make do with the first 3 chapters. I missed my target due to my grade 8 flute exam taking priority over a book that will change the world (ahem). Next May, I am hoping for a minority government as this will be best for the people. Why? Policies will be decided more slowly and one by one as different minorities hold the balance of votes.

Chapters 1, 2 & 3 will start appearing on my blog soon. Don’t worry about missing them, I will let you know when they start appearing. The other 14 chapters are almost there but will take another month or two.

The rest will be e published by some lucky publisher, as yet unnamed (because they all keep saying things like “Go away, who on earth are you?” or “Thank you but your excellent work does not fit our current profile.”) I now know how the Beatles felt when Decca turned them down 😉

Anyway, I wish you all a very Happy New Year of Moaning and groaning at the antics of the political classes.

UK’s education mess, clueless party politicians and Islamism

Please click to express yourself

In the UK we have private schools treated as charities for tax purposes for no good reason that most of us can see. Other than, perhaps, the establishment who made those tax rules to save themselves money on their children’s education. After all, they need to separate their offspring from the great unwashed (that’s you and me if you were wondering) and therefore invented charitable status to protect their socially divisive academies.

We also have a divisive education system that protects religious privilege as if it were something reasonable.  Politicians promote these backward ideas as choices, when in fact all they are simply vote grabbing policies used by short sighted party politicians.

Schools policy today
Tory, Liberal & Labour party education policy today

Politicians and the social worker intellectual elite dare not stop these retrograde practices because of a) votes and b) misplaced human rights sensitivities (plus that’s where many of them send their kids to schools anyway).  As a result, we have Saudi Arabian Wahabbist(1) funded schools promoting primitive cultural differences, with impunity, because our liberal ideologies dare not offend our oil suppliers or provoke a religion so protective of its medieval cultural practices that violent reprisal is quite likely.

The obvious consequence of all this is the increase in Islamic self importance and the attendant religious schisms that are tearing the world apart.

We have politicians trying to make themselves heard by making short term and usually idiotic policy statement because an election is coming up next May.

The latest today is Ed Millibean calling for  tax penalties if private schools don’t “do more” for the great unwashed (remember, that’s you and me), when a rational policy would remove tax breaks entirely for private schools and cease any public funding for faith schools immediately.

Ed Miliband's one nation gibberish
Ed Miliband promoting Labour’s One Nation gibberish – and he is an atheist!

The lack of firm philosophical backbone in today’s party politicians has rendered the party system completely irrelevant for the issues our society faces today.

The rise of UKIP is a consequence. The UKIP success relies on the ‘none of the above’ vote that we don’t have in our,  not-so representative, democracy.

The only way to solve the Islamist agenda is to remove ALL religion from ALL schools. Government should promote and teach secularism and reason based philosophy, encouraging rational debating techniques, in all schools. Childish minds are most susceptible to dogma and therefore should be protected from faith based education at all costs. Religious leaders know that all too well of course…

That will take 50 years to achieve, but only once the changes are made.Since there is no prospect of that happening soon,  god help us all ;-(

Happy Winterval!

“Question: How do you know you’re God?
Answer: Simple. When I pray to him, I find I’m talking to myself.”

(1) Wahabbism is a narrow misogynist, austere form of Islam that insists on a literal interpretation of the Koran. Strict Wahhabis believe that all those who don’t practice their form of Islam are heathens and enemies.

Obama, Oh Cameron, Oh dear, you just don’t get ISIL do you?

Or, if you do then you are wilfully misleading the people you lead and represent.

Obama has just said in his speech last Tuesday night, “Now let’s make two things clear: ISIL is not Islamic.” (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant)

Obama's policy in full
Obama’s policy message in full

On the face of it, that shows his profound ignorance of the Qur’an and Hadith (supplementary Muslim instructions written after their manual was last updated in 1910). However, he is probably doing what all western politicians are doing, and that is, appeasing Muslim voters.

I am pretty sure that the majority of Muslims are just as peaceful as the majority of other faiths together with we poor old rabid atheists, but until the evil message of 143 suras (verses) of the Qur’an is denied by those moderate Muslims we keep hearing about, but not from, the myth of Islam being a religion of peace will persist. The simple truth is repeated endlessly in Qur’an; the duty of all Muslims is to make the whole world into an Islamic Caliphate, however long it takes.

That is why the popular Saudi cleric Mohammad Al-Areefi sounds like the ISIS army chaplain. The man has 9.5 million followers on Twitter (twice as many as Pope Francis has).

More British Muslims have joined the ranks of ISIS than have volunteered to serve in the British armed forces. In fact, this group has managed to attract thousands of recruits from free societies throughout the world to help build a paradise of repression and sectarian slaughter in Syria and Iraq. This is an astonishing phenomenon, and it reveals some very uncomfortable truths about the failures of multiculturalism, the inherent vulnerability of open societies, and the terrifying power of bad ideas.

Are apostates “innocent”? Blasphemers? Polytheists? Atheists? Islam has the answer, and the answer is “no.”

So then “How to fight ISIL”? I can give you the long term answer but a short term response is all that we can expect from the politicians (god help us all!  😉 .

With the rational philosophy of peace based on the European Enlightenment, that’s how! That involves the creation of a secular message being preached from political pulpits and all our school assemblies, in Europe and the USA. It will take 50 years but it is the only answer.

That is what built the American constitution back in 1788 where it separated religion from the politics of government.

I’ll leave you with the words of Ayatollah Khomeini, the leader of the Iranian revolution back in 1979:-

When anyone studies a little or pays a little attention to the rules of Islamic government, Islamic politics, Islamic society and Islamic economy he will realize that Islam is a very political religion. Anyone who will say that religion is separate from politics is a fool; he does not know Islam or politics.”

Well, he did warn us! A pity our damn stupid politicians dare not listen.

We’re not afraid of sanctions. We’re not afraid of military invasion. What frightens us is the invasion of western immorality.”

By which he meant, he was fearful of democracy, short skirts, equality for women and therefore the end of male domination over women ratified by the, not so, Holy Qur’an.

Birmingham schools Trojan Horse affair & religious extremism

Please click to express yourself

There is currently a daft & pointless row between Michael Gove (Education Secretary) and Theresa May (Home Secretary) about who’s ideas are best to fight ‘religious extremism’ in schools.

They have not, and cannot, define extremism, yet the ill-defined argument nevertheless rages in the “poli-news”*1

Both want to gain credit for “fighting extremism” in the wake of the UKIP earthquake, which has woken up the Tories, if not Cleggy and Millibean!

Gove may but Theresa wont
Gove may but Theresa wont;  If looks could kill eh? 😉

This is a further example of how our party political leaders suffer from a lack of philosophical clarity & backbone. In meBook I explain that a better way forward for British society can only be met by the removal of the useless party political system, but anyway, back to the issue.

The real question for debate isWhy have primitive cultural practices have been allowed to multiply in our schools?” These practices*3 separate the children of Muslim parents from mainstream British society,  are socially divisive and create the breeding ground for a future home grown Islamic jihad of terrifying scale.

A deeply mistaken, and socially divisive pandering to Muslim religious sensitivities is shared by all three main political parties and it all started with Blair’s damned academies.

The unpleasant truth is that many British parents are hypocrites and indirectly and unwittingly provide support for an Islamic extremist future. They send their children to Christian / Jewish faith schools simply because they promote better discipline and, as a result, have quieter classrooms and as a result, better exam results. This is all done under the pretence that they are practising Christians or Jews. Once upon a time we had little to worry about the gentle C of E schools and the slightly more rabid Roman Catholic Schools.

But now, this new tranche of Muslim faith schools are effectively destroying a traditional British identity that took a thousand years to form. I know it’s not perfect, but it is the best set of cultural practices to be found anywhere in the world, and it is being destroyed in a matter of decades by our idiotic party political leaders.

Why? Because party politicians:-

a) dare not risk losing any faith vote
b) are completely at a loss how to deal with this “sensitive” issue
c) dare not appear to be “racist*2
d) dare not face up to primitive cultural practices because of their fear of violence from our ever increasing Muslim population.

But, now we are faced with a serious and growing threat to traditional British values from 7th century Islam which has to be addressed by an enlightened government.

Hypatia of Alexandia (370 – 415 A.D.) understood the threat of violent extremism caused by teaching the young mind religious dogma as truth:-

“Fables should be taught as fables, myths as myths, and miracles as poetic fancies. To teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing. The child mind accepts and believes them, and only through great pain, and perhaps tragedy, can he be later relieved of them. Men will fight for a superstition quite as quickly as for a living truth, often more so, since a superstition is so intangible you cannot get at it to refute it, but truth is a point of view, and so is changeable.”

“Life is an unfoldment, and the further we travel the more truth we can comprehend. To understand the things that are at our door is the best preparation for understanding those that lie beyond. All formal dogmatic religions are fallacious and must never be accepted by self-respecting persons as final.”

The solution is simple, painful but entirely necessary.

  • Cease public funding for ALL faith schools and slowly change them all to a secular4 ethos but including the missing discipline regimes.
  • Religion should play no part in a child’s education and Britain should adopt the French Secularism charter which is now established in all French, publicly funded, schools.
  • The only way forward is a secular and philosophical based government who have the best interests of the whole population of Britain at heart. Those people who have a faith based lifestyle can continue with it, but not in national state funded schools.

*1 poli-news is my term for the discussion in the media of the politics of the problem rather than the issue itself.

*2 There is no definition of the term ‘racist’ in the Oxford English dictionary, yet the word is used everywhere to mean almost anything.

*3 practices include separating boys from girls; divisive cultural clothing practices (hijab, Burkha  etc.); separation of children, whose parents are Muslim,  from the rest of British society; refusal to teach aspects of science because they challenge religious texts! )

*4 secular; the separation of religious belief from any national, publicly funded institution;  i.e. government, the legal system and education.

Up yours suckers, I’ll be back, just like Liam Fox and David Laws – it won’t be long, see yah …

Once again, we have been handled by the polishituns, and, to a lesser extent, by the meedja. The sad truth is, that the justice that should have flowed from the truth of the situation, is absent and everybody seems quite content to move on; the story is over.

The BBC has let us down, their coverage of this fiasco was fawning and oh so gentle. Democracy was sidestepped by our totally up themselves political class. The independent body set up to stop this expenses crap was overruled by the Westminster Bubble Club of MPs.

What should have happened?

  • Maria Miller should have paid back £45,000 + a 100% penalty, following standard HMRC practice, the rules of which seem only to apply to the rest of us but not to our beloved leaders – strange that …
  • Dave Cameraman should have sacked Maria Miller both from the Government and as an MP,  for bringing Parliament into disrepute.

Good news from France & Poland, but not Britain

Please click to express yourself

Here are two items of ground breaking news that you will not find mentioned at all on the BBC.

The first is so important to the philosophical development of mankind that it should be shouted from all roof tops. It is this:- The French Education Minister Vincent Peillon has unveiled the controversial secularism charter which is to be displayed in a prominent position in every school to remind pupils and teachers of the country’s secular, Republican principles. The Minister says the charter is designed to promote “absolute respect for freedom of conscience”.

Vincent-Peillon
Vincent-Peillon

The new French Charter enforces 15 guiding principles among which are:-

  • Staff must convey the ideas behind secularism to students.
  • Secularism implies the rejection of all violence and all discrimination, guarantees equality between girls and boys, and rests on a culture of respect and understanding of the other.
  • It is forbidden in schools to wear symbols or clothes that show affiliation to religion.
  • Staff have a duty of strict neutrality. They must not show their political or religious convictions in the exercise of their duties.

The reason that you will not hear this on the BBC is that for some reason “we” cannot criticise the Islamic sub-culture that practises female genital mutilation(FGM), “honour” killing, enforced marriage of under age girls to old men, misogyny, cruel 2000 year old animal slaughter techniques (which Islam adopted from Judaism) and a few more primitive practices which we cannot, for some “god-forsaken” reason, mention.

The main reason? We are scared to death of the violent reaction that would ensue from publicly suggesting that these primitive & barbaric practices are unacceptable in Britain. If you want evidence of how this works in practice in Nick Clegg’s liberal party read this! Truly shocking inaction from the deputy prime minister.

The secondary reason is our stupid party politicians reticence to enforce British values on a primitive immigrant sub-culture and instead allows Sharia courts to function allowing Muslim men to keep their women as chattels!

The charter’s 15 principles have been much discussed and have already been condemned as “an attack on Islam” by a Muslim. Sadly the French minister responded to the criticism by saying that this was not an attack on Islam (which of course it is) and in doing so, has somewhat degraded an otherwise wonderful piece of good news for reason and secularism everywhere.

“The laws which made FGM illegal were introduced in France and England at about the same time, in the mid-1980s. But whereas some 100 parents and practitioners of FGM have been convicted in France, there has never been a single prosecution in the UK”.

The only way to combat these primitive practices is through the education of our children in secular schools. It will take 20-50 years – but it is the only way. Our slow and hard won progression to sexual equality is being catastrophically undermined.

Wouldn’t it be nice if our  politicians made clear what Britain stands for – that is, if they can even remember what was great about Britain!

Shame on you ! Gove, Cameraman, Millibean and Clegg!

Bravo La France! Shame on our Government of Rosbifs!

The second piece of good news is from Poland:- In January 2013 the Polish government enacted a bill which banned the ritual “halal” slaughter methods used by Jews and Muslims. The bill was brought by animal rights activists and was based on the cruelty of the method of slow death which these primitive practices entail; the Polish givernement has dismissed a recent challenge.

Kosher and halal slaughter requires an animal be killed by slitting its throat and permitting it to bleed to death while still conscious.

European Union rules on the slaughter of livestock are designed to minimise suffering for animals when they are killed, but religious groups are exempted from a requirement that animals be stunned before death. Ask yourself why? Why should irrational belief systems overrule rational decisions based on respect for animals most of us eat?

Popey & Peres - a new double act
Popey & Peres – a new double act

Meanwhile, Popey has assigned a senior church official to “investigate” the ban, which he said was against the “religious freedom of Polish Jewry”.

The old men in frocks are beginning to cluster together to support each other’s irrational belief systems as the inevitability of their demise becomes more obvious (to some of us at least 😉 ).

Those chilling words spoken to camera by the calm murderer of a British soldier in Woolwich, London needs very careful interpretation. Islamic extremism engenders nationalist extremism – neither is the way to go, but how on earth can we stop it?

There is no quick or easy solution but surely the education of Britain’s children is a solid place to start?

Wisdom from 400AD
Wisdom from 400AD

Those with a voice, i.e. the government, the Muslim Council of ‘g’reat Britain and the newly strengthened “Task Force” will never see the wood for the trees because of their vested interests.

Party politicians are desperate to preserve the privileges and thereby the votes that “faith” based, irrational belief systems currently enjoy, whilst the MCB, ignored by younger Muslims, still requests that Sharia law be taken seriously.

It is so clear to me that until religion is completely removed from the “public” sphere, we will never know peace. “My bible is better than your bible – so there!” is a wonderful display of wisdom by a court in the USA back in 1893.

The factors, I see, behind the Woolwich murder:-

  • The globalised exploitation of the world’s resources by the West, China and Russia (and the many other countries discovering the adolescent excitement of exploitative capitalism).
  • Globalisation is seen, quite correctly in my view, as a one way road to ever bigger corporations transferring money into ever smaller groups of wealthy elites.
  • The post World War 1 carve up, by Britain, France and the USA, of what was the Ottoman Empire into today’s arbitrarily created states of Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Trans-Jordan Israel and Palestine.
  • The ignorance perpetuated by all religions, but particularly Abrahamic*1 ones, Islam in particular, insisting that their faith systems should be ‘respected’ or else toys will thrown out of prams.
  • These first four, together with our ruling elite’s liberal acceptance of this alien Arab desert culture, unchallenged and now in our midst, is at the heart of this tragic affair.
  • A few young, mainly unemployed, men have been convinced that they are at war with a western democracy that has exploited and oppressed the Arab world. There is some truth in their words, but their ‘faith’ based jihad*2 is fueled by angry, deluded, power mad, misogynistic, male politicians wearing religious hats supported by other Arabs selling oil to the very democracies and globalised businesses to which they are opposed!
  • That many of the extreme Islamists appear to be recent converts is worrying some ‘moderate’ Muslims who say that one of the big issues Islam must face in the UK is that most Imams cannot speak English or have any understanding at all of the last 1000 years of British history and culture. They say that when we have fluent English speaking Imams things will be better. To this I have to say Poppycock! Until Islam can revise the Qur’an we will see no change, and since the Qur’an (in Arabic) is the ‘unalterable word of God’ – that’s that!
  • Saudi Arabia is funding, seemingly unchallenged by our own government, Madrassas*3 in the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Canada, Australia (and on and on) spreading Wahhabbism*2, a fundamentalist version of Islam.
  • Globalised BIG business and banking organisations caused the 2008 meltdown yet western governments (China, Russia, India etc. too) are hell bent on recreating the disaster again.
  • Yet more UK faith schools have been approved for 2014 many of which are religiously based thus cementing a division in society for years to come. Light the blue touch paper, stand back, and in 10 years – BOOOM!
  • The right wing backlash has started here in the UK, and in the USA blogs are urging “citizens” to carry their “ARs*5” ‘cuzz the hand gun just don’t cuttit nomore’. Oh yes, bigger guns are the obvious answer …
  • There are just too many people everywhere – that in itself causes tensions. The natural resources war is in progress now (China is winning), the meat wars are starting and the global water wars have yet to start …

The following suggested actions may not, at first sight, seem to be related but I maintain that only by putting them all together can we start putting things right.

  • We have to challenge the very ideas that form the motivation for the killings we see on our streets.
  • The government has to promote a secular philosophy based on reason and fairness and refute all faith based, demands – and yes, this includes the established Church of England!
    • e.g. Many of our universities have allowed the separation of male & female seating arrangements in lectures at the insistence of Muslim student groups – unbelievable!
    • Islamic ‘Sharia’ courts and Jewish ‘Beth din’ courts must be outlawed. They have been quietly allowed by PC governments in the past but unless you want Scientology courts appearing too ..? You catch my drift? We must have just one law followed by, and applicable to, all.
  • Moderate UK Muslims must speak out loud and clear against this killing
    • until they do – cease public funding of the so-called failing community cohesion efforts
  • ‘Faith’ must be seen to be what it actually is, “belief without reason, evidence or justification”. The many privileges it current receives must be removed, e.g:-
    • Church of England bishops taking up 24 seats in the House of Lords
    • Tax breaks for all religious organisations, and private schools for that matter, are nothing but slimy vote winners
  • Government support of ‘faith’ is just plain wrong and should end – ‘reason’ must prevail therefore:-
    • Faith schools must seen as divisive and destabilising for Britain’s future and therefore slowly reformed into a secular mainstream education system. Are you listening Gove? Thought not…no votes there, eh?
    • Dis-establish the Church of England now – this would allow rational debate on religion and the end privileges granted to all those holding irrational belief systems.
  • A secular state in which religion is moved from the public to the private sphere is the only way for a future in which those who have a religion together with those who do not, can live together equal before the law. This would deal with the nonsense of Sharia even being debated – it’s just daft to even think about its validity in Great Britain or any democracy for that matter.
  • Government must invest, NOT in nuclear, but in R & D into energy production. Put our very best brains onto it and pay them well! Use geo-thermal hot-spots in the UK, ground source heat pumps, yes even daft wind turbines etc. etc.
    • Sadly, because of 25 years of government dithering, we will have to build a few nuclear power stations just to keeps the lights on, but longer term focus must be in eventual self sufficiency.
    • This will eventually end in the reduction of our need for oil & gas from regimes that could do us damage if they choose to withdraw gas / oil supplies
    • Decide upon a stable population for ‘g’reat Britain (say 40 million) and work on ways to achieve that in say 50 years.

We then wait 75 years for those actions to filter down to a new secular Britain whose children will have re-discovered the rationality and grown up wisdom of the European Enlightenment.

The alternative is that Islam just quietly and patiently out-breeds us all…

Happy Oestrus & Merry Winterval!

*1 Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all versions of monotheism (the idea of just one god was quite new 3,000 years ago) originating from the area today ‘made up’ of Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq & Iran.

*2 Jihad – the Islamic holy war has many definitions, even within Islam. The “lesser jihad” is “struggle” against those who are not Muslim. The “greater jihad” is the inner struggle by a believer to fulfil his religious duties.

*3 Madrassas – Schools where education is mixed with and distorted by Islamic teaching, thus providing a warped and divisive educational environment. Saudi Arabia finances these schools in Britain but, unlike state schools, religious schools – known as Madrassas – are unregulated and teachers do not have to have specialist training.

*4 Wahhabbism – a fundamentalist form of Islam perpetrated by the Saudi Royal family supporting men as gods and women as chattels.

A diverse group of people all of whom have human rights. Even a ginger is included. (picture taken by EHRC marketing dept. & yes, there are even a few token whiteys on the back row!

I really thought it was April 1st again today when I read about the Equality & Human Rights Commision latest guideline to employers. Sadly what follows is completely true and yes, nobody could make this sort of thing up (except perhaps the Daily Mail?).

The guidelines state that employers now have to give serious attention to an employee’s request for special treatment due to their religious beliefs, be they a christian, druid, Mormon, Muslim etc.

Incidentally, the etc.” includes “ecologists” (see page 8 of the guidelines) who harrass employees about their views.

We already have total freedom in this country for anyone to believe in the Flying Teapot Fairy if they wish but why on earth would you seriously consider a request for special treatment from someone who has irrational beliefs? (i.e. followers of any faith system).

The simple answer to this blithering nonsense is this:-

Just treat everyone the same by not allowing  special privileges to those who say they are governed by an irrational belief system?

Everybody then become equal in the eyes of the law.

Here a a few clues for those who cannot yet think for themselves.

  • If you are a vegan – don’t work for a butcher.
  • If you are Muslim – don’t work at all, so you won’t have to treat women and gays as equals. The welfare state will feed you and yours until the sun goes nova in 4 billion years time.
  • If you are christian – don’t run a guest house if you believe gays are an abomination.
  • If you are christian and gay – how on earth did you do that? (I really would like to know.)
  • If you are a christian medic – don’t pray for intercession by a caring god – (she ain’t listening to you and she clearly doesn’t care anyway!)
  • If you are an ecologist then don’t do anything- just to be on the safe side, until “they” tell you how and why ecology is a religion)
  • If you follow the Pink Flying Teapot – don’t read any more books by Bertrand Russell or Richard Dawkins; you have missed the point  and are beyond redemption by any supreme being.

Following my guidelines, however, does have enormous benefits:-

  • The Equality & Human Rights Commission can be closed forthwith- saving loadsamoney
  • Faith school free bus passes end – saving loadsamoney
  • The bishops in the House of Lobbyists can be released to wash sinners feet – saving loadsamoney
  • We can stop giving religious bodies any tax advantages  – saving loadsamoney
  • Hate crimes become crimes, i.e. no special considerations are required – saving loadsamoney (no lawyers required to tell us whether the crime was motivated by hate etc.)
  • I saved the best until last. Tony Blair’s faith foundation could no longer claim tax advanteges. Yay! One for we the people! 😉
