By ‘the West’ I mean the UK, the USA, the EU, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and quite a few other democracies.
- Do we really want China to move on Taiwan?
- Do we really want Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to succeed?
- Our current message to Putin and Xi is “do what you like” we won’t stop you!
Madness!
The pointless government & media focus on Rwanda
Currently our politicians and the BBC seem to think the most important thing is Rishi Sunak’s Rwanda bill which is a nonsensical waste of time, energy and money.
I have downloaded the 12 meaningless pages of the bill for you. Read the RwandaBill pdf, or go to the government pages here.
The media coverage and government’s hours of discussion on Rwanda are pointless and misdirected. It is clear to me that few in favour or against the bill have actually read the bill! There is little with which to agree or disagree!
There are so many ifs, buts and the odd may-bee. There is no detail as to how it might work! It is obviously Sunak’s best idea for some good poli-news which he so desperately needs. His ignorance of public opinion is now obvious to all but his ‘bubble’.
What follows is what our politicians should be doing instead
Their efforts should be directed to local actions in the the UK to control immigration and then coordinating the West’s plans to stop Russia and China’s expansionist message and actions.
Why do I say “wake up”?
- The USA must stop vetoing the United Nations’ censure notices on the 46 illegal Israeli government’s Palestinian land grabs over the last 80 years.
- The USA should cease funding Netanyahu’s genocidal war against Israeli Arabs. Why? Because any hope of a peaceful Middle East will disappear for decades as Russia and China will inevitably move in.
- If the West’s governments do not stop China and Russia from destroying our democratic ideals, formed in the European Enlightenment, then the West is history.
- If we all don’t realise the threats of globalisation, mainly since Thatcher’s era, then the next Chinese virus will probably finish us all off including China.
- Localisation should become the main thrust for the Western economies over the next few decades
- We must ‘wake up’ and ‘woke off!’
I wish you all a very Happy Christmas 😉
I’m off to play carols outside the pub with our local village Christmas band
Yo ho ho
